Shannon McClung joined Anne Arundel County Public Schools in 2014 as an English Language Acquisition (aka ESL) teacher along with completing the Masters of Education in TESOL program at UMBC. This came after 20+ years in the Recreation field which included working with all ages from 6 month olds to senior citizens and teaching everything from sports to aquatics to training volunteers, lifeguards, and swim instructors while supervising youth sports, summer camp, and indoor/outdoor aquatic programs. In addition, Shannon completed the HTH GSE’s School Leadership program last year and is now co-teaching impactful, project-based learning at Glen Burnie Park Elementary School with Dr. Cheryl Howard to K-5 English Language Learners.
