I currently serve students and staff at Orchard Grove Elementary school as an EL Teacher and Equity Representative responsible for professional development regarding culturally proficient teaching practices. Our school employs the cadre model where Math, Literacy, Special Education and EL teachers share caseloads and work collaboratively to analyze student data, create PL opportunities and design instruction. I'm a lover and learner of linguistics with aspirations to conduct and study SLA research.
