Many of our English Language Learners in grades K-12 have experienced trauma, whether in their home country, en route to Maryland, or while living in their new communities. How can classroom teachers best meet the needs of students who come to the classroom with past traumatic experiences? What do these learners need from administration and support staff? What are different districts in the state doing to ensure the best outcomes for these ELs?
