This presentation will introduce a short course where learners are guided in creating an online portfolio to use for goal setting and reflection during an academic preparation program. These learner portfolios also include a self-introduction video and an about me page. By the end of the session, participants will have the tools necessary to develop a similar course for language learners of any level. This includes step-by-step instructions on how to create an online portfolio, outlines for each class, and ideas about how to connect this with other courses or programs at their schools.

I have over ten years of classroom experience in US and abroad and currently am the assistant director of the English Language Program at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. I have an MATESOL from Saint Michael’s College and a Cambridge CELTA.
