As the population of ELs increases in Maryland, so does the expectation for educators to meet their needs. Working together, teachers can share their expertise and resources to support their learners; however, this is easier said than done. The purpose of this session is to describe contextual conditions that enable effective collaboration. Stories from teachers who figured out how to successfully collaborate, despite challenges, will be presented to help educators learn how seeds of collaboration can be planted in their schools.
