Current research in ESL vocabulary has stated that vocabulary is perhaps the most important component in L2 ability (Folse 2014). Without vocabulary knowledge, it is impossible for learners to function in the language. However, to truly know a word takes practice both in and out of context. This workshop demonstrates examples of vocabulary and provides teachers with 12 activities to introduce, review, and assess vocabulary.
